This match of like a do or die match for the Kolkata Knight Riders because if they lose this match then they would probably be out of the semis and on the other hand Rajasthan Royals were 99% sure that they would reach the semis. But still Rajasthan Royals did not rested their big players and why should they,every team would like to carry on their winning run.Shane Warne won the toss and chose to field first.Another thing for the Kolkata Knight Riders was that Shoaib Akhtar was not fit for the match.
Batting first again Kolkata Knight Riders continued their tradition of losing the 1st wicket early up in the inning but the man in foam Slaman Butt was looking good.But he got LBW to a good delivery of Patel.Again the problem for the was that they loosed their wickets regularly and nobody played a big inning.Ganguly was the highest scorer for his team scoring 32 of34.Das scored 31 in 20 with 1 four and 2sixes.So Kolkata Knight Riders were able to make 147 in 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets.Sohail Tanveer took three wickets and Patel took 2.
148 was never a big total for the Rajasthan Royals but early wickets would help the Knight Riders.So Rajasthan Royals loosed the wicket of Asnodhkar in the 2nd over.Then as Shane Warne said in the toss that they may experiment in their batting order so Sohail Tanveer was send to bat at 3.Tanveer was able to make 13 with one six and a four but got out to Umar Gul and in the very same over Grame Smith also got out.So they were 42 for 3 at the end of 6 overs.Watson was bowled by Ganguly when he started to hit the balls sweetly.Watson scored 10 of 15 with 2 fours and a six,so know the score was 69 with the loss of 4wickets.But then can the danger man Yousuf Pathan to bat and then Kaif and Yousuf Pathan had an unbeaten partnership till the end and they won the match by 6 wicket in the 17th over.Kaif scored 34 of 31 with 4 fours and Yousuf Pathan scored 48 of 18 with 6 fours and three sixes and he also had taken a wicker for his team.Umar Gul took two wickets for the Knight Riders but was not able to take his side to win.And Yousuf Pathan got the man of the match.
