Chennai Super V Deccan Chargers

This was a very important match for the Chennai Super because if they win they would surely reach the semis and Mumbai Indians would be out of the tournament.And for Deccan Chargers this match was just a nothing match apart from this that they would like to win a match in front of their home crowd.Deccan Chargers captain Gilchrist won the and chose to bat first.

Deccan Chargers did not had a great start they lost their first two wickets in just three over that too of Gibbs and Gilchrist.The Styris and Rao had a partnership till the 11th over when Styris got out.Styris made 20 of 20 with three fours.Rao made 46 of 46 with 3 fours and one six and Teja made 40 of 28 with 4 fours and one six.Afridi again failed and he just scored one run.Morkal and Balaji both took three wickets for their team.So Deccan Chargers were able to score 147 of their 20 over with the loss of 8 wickets.

Chasing a small total of 148 Chennai Super had the opening partnership of 26.Fleming wass the first one to get out scoring 14 of 9 balls with three fours.Patel score 20.And Raina was the one who took his team to victory and he also hit the winning run as a six.He scored 54 of 43 with 9 fours and 3 sixes and as a result of his great batting he got the man of the match.Know they were in the semi finals and would face Kings IV Panjab in the semi final.

Mumbai Indians V Rajasthan Royals

This match was really important for the Mumbai Indians because if they loss this match they may be out of the seims and for Rajasthan Royals they are already in the semis and would like to continue their winning run.Sahen Warne won the toss and chose to field first.This pitch was little bit on the slower side and was not a 18 or 190 pitch for sure.

Mumbai Indians started with a good opening partnership but this the opening partnership between Jayasuria and Tendulkar was not as fast as it used to be.The first wickets fell in the 11th over when score was 71.Jayasuria was the first one to go who made 38 of 37.In the 13th over tendulkar got out making 30 in 34.Then Nayar played a inning of 25 of 18 with three fours and the other one to reach the double figures was Takawale who scored 24 of 8 balls with 4 fours and a six.For Rajasthan Royals Trevedi took two wickets and conceded 31 runs in his 4overs.
Sohail Tanveer took 4wickets and just conceded 14runs in his spell of four overs.

Grame Smith was given rest and Kamran Akmal and Asnodkar were the two openers.Kamran Akmal was run out because of his casual running ,he scored 18 of 16 with three fours.Yousuf Pathan was just able to make 2 runs.Asnodkar made 17 and got out in the 8th over when the score was 47.In the 12th over Rajasthan Royals lost two wickets in one over.Kaif got run our and Watson was out caught trying to hit out of the ground.Watson made 18 of 19.Kno the score was 77 in12 over with the loss of 5 wickets.The two new batsmen onto bat were Jadeja and N Patel.In the last over they required 32.In the 19th over they were able to make 17 and know in the last over they had to make 15.Dilhara Fernando was to ball the last over.N Patel hit one six in this over which surely had releasd the pressure and in three balls they required 5 run,signal on the next two balls made 3 of one ball,so pressure was on both sides and more on Mumbai Indians for sure bacause if they loss their chances would be less to reach the finals.So Fernando bowles a wide and know Rajasthan Royals required 2 of 1 balls,Fernando bowled a nice balls and miss fielded on his ball and then Jayasuria missed the throw and the two batsmen were able to complete two runs and thats how Rajasthan Royals won the match.Sohaiol Tanveer got the man of the match and also the purple cap as he is the highest wicket taker till know in this tournament.

Kolkata Knight Riders V Kings XI Punjab

Kolkata Knight Riders were already out of the semis and the Kings XI Punjab were qualified for the semis so again this match would not effect the semis but Ganguly had to prove a point for his team.Yuuraj Singh the captain of Kings XI Punjab won the toss and chose to bat first.

Hopes and Marsh were send to open and they had the opening partnership of 24.Then Marsh and Sangakara had a god partnership.Marsh got out when the total was 107 in the 13th over.Marsh scored 40 of 31 with 3 fours and 2 sixes.Sanagakara scored 64 of 45 with 7 fours and 2 sixes.So Kings XI Punjab174 in their 20 overs with the loss of 6 wickets.Umer Gul took three wickets and gave 24 runs in his 4overs.

Chasing the target of 175 they required god start from their openers.They lost the wicket of Salman Butt in the 6th over and then in the middle order nobody was able to play a good knock but Ganguly was still on the crease.Umer Gul came and Ganguly had match winning partnership.Umer Gull scored 24 of 11 with 3 sixes and 1 four.Ganguly scored 86 of 53 with 6 sixes and six four.Umer Gul got the man of the match.

Deccan Chargers V Bangalore Royal Challengers

Both teams were already out of the semis that why this match was not so important as far as semis are concerned.The captain of Deccan Chargers Gilchrist won the toss and chose to bat first.

Gibbs and Gilchrist gave good start to their team.They put up the opening partnership of 101.Gibbs was the first one to get out in the 12th over.He made 47 of 34 with six fours and 2 sixes.Gilchrist also got out son after Gibbs ,he scored 46 of 3.After the two openers only Sbharma and Vanugobal Rao was able to reach double figures.Dale Steyn took two wickets for his team and Vinay Kumar was able to take three wickets.So Deccan Chargers were able to make a total of 165 in their 20 losing their all the wickets.

Bangalore Royal Challengers had to chase a descent total of 166.They lost their both the openers as a result of run out.Kallis score 31 of 25 with 6 fours.Misbhah was looking good but he was caught to a half tracker.He made 34 of 28 with 4fours and 1six.Dravid made 31 of 21 with 3 fours and 1 six.Akhil and White took their team to victory.White made 31 of 26 with 1 fours and 2 sixes and Akhil scored 27 of 7 with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Bangalore Royal Challengers won the match by 5 wickets with 1 over remaining.Vinay Kumar got the man of the match.

Delhi Daredevils V Mumbai Indians

This was the last chance for the Delhi Daredevils to qualify for the semis and even they win this match they would be not sure about their place in the semis but they had to win this match to have some chance.On the other hand Mumbai Indians a win would release some pressure from them but even if they lose they would still have some chance to qualify for the semis.So captain of Delhi Daredevils won the toss and chose to field first.

For Mumbai Indians Nel was playing his first game of the tournament.Jayasuria and Tendulkar the two openers again gave took start to their team and had a first wickets partnership of 70.For the Delhi Daredevils it was important to take the wicket of Jayasuria which they were able to take in the 14th over.Jayasuria made 66 of 42 with 6 fours and 4 sixes.Uthappa made 46 of 23 with 5 fours and 2 sixes and Mumbai Indians were able to make 176 in their 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets.Yomahesh took 4 wickets for his team.

Delhi Daredevils as always had a fast start.Sehwag got out in the second over and he scored 18 of 6 balls with three fours and a six.Gambhir made 19 and got out in the fifth over when score was 50.Till the 11th over Delhi Daredevils were89 with the loss 4 wichets then Karthink and Tiwari had a good partnership.Tiwari got run out for 36.Then Maharoof came to bat.Karthink was the one who took his team to victory and got the man of the match.He made 56 of 32 with 4 fours and 3 sixes.

Chennai Super Kings V Rajasthan Royals

Chennai Super Kings had to win at least one match to reach the semis and on the other hand Rajasthan Royals were up above on the points table and were in no pressure about their position in semis.So Rajasthan Royals captain won the toss and chose to bat first.Watson was given rest in this match and Kamran Akmal was given chance to play.

again the openers weer Asnodkar and Grame Smith.The opening partnership was of 127 and Asnodkar was the first one to get out who scored 41 of 27 with 5 fours and 2 sixes.Kamran Akmal was send to bat on three.G Smith made 91 of 51 with 9 fours and 4 sixes.Kamran Akmal made 53 not out of 28 with 4 fours and 3 sixes. Rajasthan Royals were able to out up a total of 211 in their 20 overs with the loss of 5 wickets.

Chennai Super Kings needed good start from their openers to be able to chase this big target.Fleming got run out in the second over then Raina came to bat.Raina played a great innning of 45 in 24 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes.He got out in the 9th over when score was 84.Ater the wicket of Raina Morkal was send to bat for his team.Morkal and Patel had a good partnership and it this time the match was evenly balanced.Patel got out in the 15th over when score was 157.He made 54 of 40.Then Dhoni came to bat and was able to just score 12 and afer that only Morkal was the one to score runs and they lost the match by 10 runs.They requied 11 of last two balls but Tanveer was able to take two wickets of these two balls.Chennai Super Kings the match but Morkal got the man of the match.Sohail Tanveer took three wickets and Warne took two wickets for their team.

Deccan Chargers V Kings XI Punjab

This match had no importance as far as semi final is concerned but nobody likes to loss for sure.The captain of Kings XI Punjab won the toss and chose to field first.

Again Afridi was out of the side and Gibbs was playing this time.Gibbs and Gillchrist were the openers for Deccan Chargers.Both the openers gave good opening stand to their team.The opening partnership made 79 and Gibbs was the one to get out first in the 12th over.Gibbs scored 44 of 34 with 3 fours and 3 sixes.Gillchrist got out in the 15th over when score was 111,he scored 50 of 42 with 6 fours and 1 six.Sharma also played a good knock for his team.He scored 50 of 27 with 3 fours and 4 sixes.So Deccan Chargers were able to make a total of 175 with the loss of 4 wickets.Sreeshaath , VRV Singh ,Powar and Gagandeep Singh all took 1 wicket a piece but Powar was the pick of the bowlers only giving away just 20 runs in his four overs with a wicket.

For Kings XI Punjab Sangakara was back from the injury and was in the side for Hopes.So the two openers Marsh and Sangakara shared the opening stand of 84 for the first wicket.Sangakara scored 50 of 25 with 7 fours and 2 sixes.Marsh the other opener scored his 5th fifty of the IPL and made 60 of 46 with 3 fours and 3 sixes.So Kings XI Punjab had their 8th win of the tournament.They won the match with three balls remaining and they had loosed just 4 wickets.Marsh got the man of the match for his 60.
